Airsoft or Paintball to Deter Deer From Garden

I am looking to purchase a paintball gun to deter the deer and rabbits that are eating my bushes and gardens.

I take shotguns, rifles, pellets , BB guns but I dont feel similar killing them I only want to harass them.

Anybody out there recommend a decent paint ball gun?

I looked at some sites but at that place are so many different types and different propellents , I just need a little direction to get started in my search.

You might want to bank check the laws in your state...in some places "harassing" wildlife is against the law... fifty-fifty and so much as pointing headlights at grazing deer is a punishable crime (in NC) even if the but intent is to detect the animals...

I hear you on the paintball gun not being ready to become all the time. that is something to consider.

A paint ball has a lot more mass so while it would probably be ok for the deer, it's going to be a pretty big impact over a large part of the trunk of a small critter and would probably cause some internal damage. I shot a blackbird with one and information technology put it down for good. Only something else to think about...
